All rooms have full en-suite bathrooms, with both bath and shower. There is also a fridge in each room, along with a tea and coffee station.
There are fans in the rooms for those warm summer days, and electric blankets and panel heaters for those chilly winter evenings. Our rooms do not have TV’s.
Meals
All our rates are on a B & B basis, and include a full country breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, cereals and muffins, as well as a cooked English breakfast.
We offer a romantic 3 course set menu dinner in our country house, which needs to be booked 48 hours in advance, and try to cater as far as possible for individual tastes and dietary requirements.
Although our rooms do not have any self-catering facilities, apart from the fridge and tea/coffee station, we do offer braai facilities. We supply the braai & utensils at the river…all guests need to bring is charcoal and food. This also needs to be booked in advance.
Rooms
Lodge rooms – Trees of Africa & Water Reflections
Housed in the main lodge, with windows facing over the gardens and river, these 2 rooms do not have their own private verandahs, but are perfect for more mature guests who want to still have the beautiful views, while being close to the main verandah and dining room.
African Sunsets
African Sunsets is housed in the main lodge, but has a gorgeous private verandah overlooking the river. The photo at the top of our home page was taken from this verandah. AS is a very large room which has a second inter-leading bedroom – ideal for a couple with older children.

All of our “cottage-style” rooms are separate to the main lodge, and have their own private wooden verandahs facing the river and gardens.
